Dr. Vegetable's Virtual Remote is a Windows program that emulates the LEGO MindStorms infrared remote control using your existing USB or RS-232 infrared tower. The program presents a set of sixteen function buttons that enable you to easily command one or more RCXes to spin their motors, start or stop programs, or respond to one of three user-defined messages.

This program should run on any Windows 95 or later computer without any additional software installed other than the USB tower driver, if applicable. You must also have the factory firmware loaded into the RCX before it will respond to commands from the remote control.

The author has taken every reasonable step to deliver to you the finest software that money cannot buy. This program relies on undocumented features of the MindStorms product line, and could cause dammage to your toys.
